Meet Ann Ross

The Foundation

Ann’s resume reads like a travel novel, ripe with exotic locales and exciting adventures. After marrying her husband John, she spent the next 17 years moving across the globe, making temporary homes in Switzerland, England, South America and the Caribbean before returning to her hometown of Sarasota to raise her family. Though the family had come to settle down and lay their roots, Ann didn’t let this slow her down. With her children back in school, she delved into community activity, spending much of the 1970’s and 1980’s as an active participant in local government while also building her real estate business.

“Real Estate is in my blood, I guess”, she smiles. “It gets to you, becomes a part of your being.” Indeed, Ann gave the business her all, earning a host of professional designations, becoming highly active in her local board of Realtors®, The Women’s Council of Realtors® (WCR) and Toastmasters. She also owned and operated her own brokerage for 13 years before joining RE/MAX Alliance Group.

To date, Ann’s professional accomplishments include earning certifications as an e-Pro, a Relocation Specialist, Graduate Realtor® Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Broker (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). Through the WCR she has achieved the Performance Management Network (PMN) designation, which combines leadership and business acumen to bring service to a new level. She is a Distinguished Toastmaster and is involved with the organization’s leadership program. Ann has been recognized as a member of the State Honor Society numerous times and have been named Realtor® Associate of the Year through her local board of Realtors® The WCR honored her as the State of Florida’s Realtor® of the Year, and named her into the position locally two times. She has also won various production and achievement awards, including RE/MAX Hall of Fame, The American Dream Award and a Founder’s Award.

Accomplishments aside, it is Ann’s belief in the value of education and communication that has driven her business to thrive. “Our clients come from all walks of life,” she says. “We put ourselves in their positions and provide them with the knowledge and information they need to make the right choices for themselves.” This, she notes, is one of the first lessons she learned as a new agent. “If you see Jim Jones through Jim Jones’ eyes, you’ll sell Jim Jones what Jim Jones buys,” she explains. In other words, by learning what her clients’ needs and unique situations are, she is better equipped to lead them to the properties that will best suit them.
